Haigh Hall again ?.....yawhn !....isn't there anything else around Wigan ?

Comment by: WILLY WACKUM on 1st April 2017 at 08:46

alan, if you are so fed up of seeing photographs of Haigh hall, why don't you get out and take some photographs yourself? Ive noticed over the years that the people who do all the moaning contribute naff all to the wiganworld web site,

Lovely photo.
Spent many happy hours in Haigh Hall.
On the White knuckle ride on the tractor through the plantations.
Happy days xx

All those who no longer live in Wigan will appreciate photos of Haigh Hall especially those in 'far flung' places I'm sure. We who are left behind take the Hall and woods for granted. All thanks to Ron for taking the trouble to get out and about and taking the pictures.

Veronica,I am a Wigan ex pat who lives in a far flung place (Australia), and as much as I genuinely appreciate the time and trouble that people go to, in contributing photo's to photo a day, I am thoroughly weary of photo's of Haigh Hall. Surely you must agree it has literally been flogged to death, and then some. As for Willy Wackum's comment, that is a tired old comment indeed. Ron has contributed some fabulous photos to WW in the past, and I respectfully request that he turn his talents to a different subject matter. Thanks for the photo Ron it is appreciated.

You have to appreciate that Ron is riding on his invalid carriage when he is out and about around Haigh Plantations, So to me he does a very good job, theres lot of people who look and comment on Photo a day who walk around the Wigan area every day but cant be bothered to submit any photos.

Haigh Hall may well be in the backdrop, but look at the daffodils in full bloom, the grass greening up and the trees budding and lifting their branches as though giving thanks to God for the arrival of spring - Alan you should be grateful that you can look at a photo of Haigh Hall, so many folks wish they could. Thanks for taking the time and effort Ron.

Syd I bet a pound to a penny if Ron stopped taking the photos of Haigh Hall somebody else would (mentioning no names!) it seems to be part of the DNA of Wigan snappers!
Regards to Ozyland .... I might be coming for a holiday next year!

Comment by: Garry on 1st April 2017 at 15:10

I don't know what the problem is, the photos only on a day. If you don't like what you see, click off it. Stop moaning!

Comment by: Alan on 1st April 2017 at 15:37

Funny isn't it, all these folk who don't live in Wigan anymore, just moan, moan and moan. Just as well I suppose their far away from Wigan.
Very good photo Ron, other countries
have nothing to offer, not like Haigh Hall anyway.

Comment by: Alan (on Vancouver Island) on 1st April 2017 at 16:52

I agree with Syd. Good photo though.

Comment by: Garry on 1st April 2017 at 18:42

The only time people see Haigh Hall is on here, so enjoy it.

Comment by: Julie on 1st April 2017 at 18:56

As per Garry!
I have never contributed one single picture to WW . I respect immensely those that do ,
But please , do not say that the word or words ,provided by so many on WW are lesser. There are many examples where a single line of poetry can totally encapsulate
and capture the same. This is of course up for debate . Please allow me that choice!

Alan at 03 55 you were doing your share of moaning! Or we're you dreaming?...

Comment by: Ellen on 1st April 2017 at 20:08

As another "far flung" fan of Wiganworld's photographers, I do reluctantly agree with my fellow ex-pats represented today. That is not to take away from the talent and genuine devotion of these great folks, I have spent many happy hours viewing and re-veiwing their efforts, which are nothing short of heroic!

...many thanks everyone!

Comment by: Linda on 3rd April 2017 at 15:26

Alan (small "a") isn't moaning. Just expressing his opinion , which is as valid as anyone else's.

Comment by: Veronica on 4th April 2017 at 08:42

As my comment is.

Linda's already pointed out that all posts are valid, Veronica. I expect that includes you. Hence, no need for you to remind us!
