Photo-a-Day (Thursday, 23rd February, 2017)
Hall Lane
Snowdrops and daffodils my favourites, Spring is almost here.
Nature is amazing, how these delicate little flowers push their way up through claggy, heavy & wet earth I will never know.
Lovely photo David, cheers the soul.
A cheerful blast of colour on a grey day....a lovely subject -wouldn't look out of place on a calendar!
Lifts the spirits David. They look delicate but will probably withstand Doris battering us better than some huge trees.
Again..a sight for sore eyes..signs of Spring, what could be nicer..Thank you David.
Beautiful! I love spring flowers, and would rather have the gift of a bunch of daffs than the most expensive flowers you can buy.
I too would value a bunch of daffodils just as much as expensive blooms, because of their sunny colour. Having said that , there aren't any flowers I don't like ! Lovely pic.
Helen of Troy the reason these delicate little flowers can push their way up through claggy heavy & wet earth is because thats all they do, rest of the year they sleep saving all there energy for next year push
thank you David for this photo which has given me a lot of pleasure.
Ah God is good and all is well. I am constantly in awe for these wonderful little early beautiful and precious flowers. They defy the odds with dignity
Was this taken on Saturday afternoon? I drove along Hall Lane in mid-afternoon and saw someone taking pics of snowdrops over the fence - was it you?
A day late, but still as appreciative... I love all spring flowers, but especially daffodils. each year I look forward to this reminder that spring will come again, thanks to you good folks, photographers and Wiganworld.
