Dan where did you take this photo from.
top of Douglas House flats MarieM
Well Dan that may be the first drone photo, dont remember any being on before, not sure how these cameras work shutter speeds, vibration etc, could you explain please, excellent photo.
MarieM high up.
A new era of photography.
My father worked on site at the Heinz factory on several occasions, seconded from the Metal Box Co. in Westhoughton.
My mother worked at the ordanance factory at Bradley during the war and that became the first Heinz site in Wigan, before Kitt Green was built.
Excellent photo.
Good photo. This will usher in a new era in photography.
Thanks for the comments. I was stood down at the bottom end of Walthew House Lane near Wincanton but the drone was about 175m up at the time.
David - it's a small camera mounted on the drone and controlled using the remote handset and app on my phone. There is a gimbal on the camera to help with vibration etc and the drone uses GPS to maintain its position when hovering.
The pictures are pretty decent although not as sharp as a DSLR but good fun all the same :-)
I agree, great photo. I never realized how big the facility was. That's a lot of tins of beans
Cracking image, Dan!
Cheers Dan, hope to see more of these,a birds eye view.
That's excellent Dan. Thanks.
Have to agree with David above. Love to see more like this. Suggestions, Gathurst and Helvellyn Rd, Norley, where I grew up.
Cracking photo, Dan. Well done.
Great photo Dan. You don't realise how big the Heinz site is.
Cracking photo Dan, i spent 20 years in there, no complaints, well paid, and a good pension even though i retired at 52. Oh, and Derek, they are CANS not tins !!!
Tin cans they are.
