Thanks from an ex-Uphollandite!...It looks as if the Deity was blessing us!

Comment by: Mick on 8th January 2017 at 07:24

I cant see it but our house is down there somewhere

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 08:31

That's a beautiful dramatic shot David..the Suns rays look just like a pot of gold.

love it!

Comment by: irene roberts on 8th January 2017 at 08:52

Dramatic. It reminds me of the end scene in Whistle Down the Wind.

Comment by: A.W. on 8th January 2017 at 09:21

Very good Dave, captured the last beams of the day very nicely.

Maureen, don't you think it's time you had that iPad of yours looked at ?

Comment by: Vb on 8th January 2017 at 12:00

As Maureen is a would be artist (like 'what' I am) Ozy she is just emphasising what she feels!

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 12:30

Ozy..yes yes,in other words yes...I mean eight minutes between posts..you couldn't make it up could you.lol

Comment by: Helen of Troy on 8th January 2017 at 12:45

Ellen, i thought that myself, a very bibical moment captured.

Thank you Rev Long.

Comment by: . Ozymandias . on 8th January 2017 at 12:55

If I could correct you just ever so slightly there Veebs, it isn't " like what I am ", its " like same as what I am ". if we're having it right, let's have it right.

Comment by: Mick on 8th January 2017 at 13:23

Vb Maureen is feeling it more than once

Comment by: Gary Leece on 8th January 2017 at 13:36

Close Encounters of the Third Kind?

Comment by: Vb on 8th January 2017 at 15:11

I should have put (like 'wot' I am) as in Morcombe and Wise). Believe me that's what I meant.....

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 15:26

Ozy..yes yes, in other words yes...I mean eight minutes between posts..you couldn't make it up could you .lol

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 15:52

I give up.lol

Comment by: . Ozymandias . on 8th January 2017 at 16:47

That was just me messing about Maureen. Sorry my dear, I won't do it again. Promise.

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 17:41

Ozy..you're naughty ...lol.

Comment by: Garry on 8th January 2017 at 19:18

Maureen and Ozy, what are you both on about?????

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 20:19

Garry,see my comments at 8:31,and 8:39

Comment by: irene roberts on 8th January 2017 at 20:44

Garry, I think it's that Maureen's posts sometimes appear twice, without her meaning that to happen. My friend Neil sometimes sends me a text and then it is repeated without him doing anything.....just some problem with the network. I know both Maureen and Ozy personally, both lovely people, and I'm sure there is no animosity meant.

Comment by: Vb on 8th January 2017 at 20:49

Garry go and sit back near the fire....I'd like to know what Maureen was doing in the 8 minutes between the comments!

Comment by: irene roberts on 8th January 2017 at 21:08

Vb, she was probably painting one of her amazing pictures.....such a talented lady.....or making ginger biscuits from my recipe! Or her delicious marmalade. A lovely lady. I feel I know YOU too, Vb, after all our exchanges!

Comment by: Vb on 8th January 2017 at 21:12

Maureen only joking .....:ha,ha, ha!

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 21:18

Garry..it's all just fun..Irene..Ozy has the same sense of humour that Giovanni had..don't you think.lol

Comment by: Vb on 8th January 2017 at 21:51

It just shows Irene in all innocence just one little sentence.......it's like being back at school!

Comment by: Ken R on 8th January 2017 at 22:14

I thought this was Wigan World but it's turned into out of this world.

Comment by: Maureen on 8th January 2017 at 23:12

Irene, for the life of me I can't recall when we swapped recipes what mine was that I sent to you..

Comment by: irene roberts on 9th January 2017 at 13:36

No, we didn't swap recipes, Maureen. I gave you a recipe for ginger biscuits. You didn't give me any recipes but two jars of your delicious marmalade. I think it's lovely that people on here have a bit of fun together.....better than the moaning and arguing that goes on!

Comment by: Maureen on 9th January 2017 at 13:56

No wonder I couldn't remember it..ha ha.I get totally cheesed off with all the moaners too.I had words with someone yesterday and swore I'd never go down that road, but he was out of order...

Comment by: Vb on 9th January 2017 at 14:15

You are right there Irene!

There is no need for abusive language to get a point across in a disagreement.

Comment by: Maureen on 9th January 2017 at 14:54

Vb,I always think it shows low intelligence.

Comment by: Rosie G on 10th January 2017 at 16:14

I'm sure it does, Maureen! Some of the people on this site .....words fail me.

Comment by: Julie on 10th January 2017 at 17:34

Rosie , you have to take the rough with the smooth. If you want a straight line of thought then that I am afraid is not reality. Those that are rude and abusive soon get found out but profound disagreements should be acceptable and only give value to how rich WW is. I have made a number of comments regarding my concerns about immigration and our cultural heritage and how I fear for its preservation. I am grateful WW has given me this voice but accept those who disagree with me, even those who believe I am a racist, even though I am not.

Comment by: Rosie G on 10th January 2017 at 19:26

I assure you I am quite able to take the rough with the smooth. You seem to have misunderstood what I was saying
