I discovered my caption is inaccurate a week after taking the pic - Ambush was gone. Perhaps out delivering coal to other boats.

Those that know.
Is it still possible to walk from Crooke to Marsh Green or vv, via open fields , without being stopped by buildings and such Not been to this area for a long time, believe there are lots of warehouses etc there now. Used to be able to.
Just wondering.

Yes, the walk is still do'able, although the paths will be very muddy right now. Better to go in the summer, after a dry spell. You can walk to Parbold, and much further. Lots of wildlife to be seen, too.

Thanks you Helen and Jack.
Hold onto those areas before they are taken away . With love Ps It upsets me so much when valued green areas are replaced with concrete. We need buildings for work and housing but children more importantly need to breathe, This is why more and more young people are seeking the outdoors, I was lucky as a child I had open fields and space to play, we never had holidays , mine was the fields and open space .
I hope and wish the children of WW get that choice..
