Has Haigh Hall become a hotel now ?
Nice one Ron, brings back many memories, thanks.
Its a lovely smooth road ideal for riding a bike along.
It takes you right up the the new fountain at the front of the hall.

Never seen cars coming down that road before can they now get in and out that way
The improvements to the children's play area and the new High Ropes attraction are really worth visiting.
We had our grandchildren over last week - they had hours of fun on Thursday in the playground and going round the Crazy Golf - and then went back on Friday to do the Ropes.
It's great to have something so good so local where we can take them to let off steam.
The hall is being advertised as an hotel in Lancashire Life at present
My only real recollection of Haigh Hall was from the 1970's from when I was a student nurse over across at the Infirmary. When we had a split shift we would often go for a walk over there. I particularly recall some of the frost sunny days which were great for walking 0 oh happy days.
I was also a student nurse at Wigan infirmary 1976-79 and remember the split shifts - that was a long day !
