As children we played at jumping across the by-wash many a time but there was never shrubs such as the "Snowmound" on the other side! Happy times-I don't suppose kids today would do what we did!

A Bye Wash is a means of allowing excess water to bye pass a Lock, otherwise the water level would be too high.
