Scholes flats
Would have been better with a rusty bike leaning on that tree
Mick. You are pain.
Cant see anything except a bloody big pink flower in way
"The lovliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,...."
Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. Matthew 7:6.
I like the panoramic shot looking towards Wigan!
I must admit the cherry blossom obscures it though!
My grand-daughter once told me "You can tell when it's Spring, Grandma, because there is "blosmuss" on the trees; she is nine now and says "blossom", but WE now call it "blosmuss"!
Get a grip,it's cherry blossom ,our neighbour has it in there garden .it last three weeks in spring then sheds it's petals and makes a mess in everyone's garden.
Mick it might have been better to step further back or chop the cherry blossom in front! Sez me who can't take a picture without my fingerprint on it!!!!!Sorry !
I have to say I think you've given us a good one here Mick. I won't be swayed by your last comment on the Shevington photo though.
The cherry blossom gives the picture some perspective and makes this a very interesting picture. Far more interesting than a simple view of the landscape.
I once did a short spell driving for a company in Wigan, the name of which will remain anonymous. Among the workforce at the time was a driver who's surname was Brown. There was also a driver who worked there who sported the surname Black. Inevitably, they became known as ' The Cherry Blossom Twins '.
Very nice Mick. Pity about those Eyesore Highrise Flats.
Did nobody notice the butterfly
Nice picture, the pink blossom obscures nothing of significance to the subject (Scholes Flats) and adds welcome colour contrast to an otherwise bland scene, particularly with the hazy distance and sky.
Mick
Are you sure thats not a couple of leaves?
Now what time do Specsavers open? :O)
