Ron,that's a lovely shot..the colours are beautiful..the boat,the water..what a very nice composition..makes you wish you were there.
Thank you again for a really good photo. I have such happy memories of travelling along this canal. We met such friendly people & saw some good sights.
A promise of the lazy hazy days of summer!
Great pic Ron!
That water is so inviting...maybe 50 years ago! :O)
A beautful photo Ron, the blue skies lift one's spirits. It reminds me of a jigsaw I had when a child.
Thank you.
Maureen, Ron was there, lol !!
Nice shot Ron.

When the weather is fine again...take your sketch pad here. I'm sure you could turn this scene into a fine acrylic! I may wander over here meself one day!
Hello Roy.
Johnny..I'm half way through a Scottish scene, with highland cattle..it seems like my oil paints have been relegated to the bottom of the draw now.
Maureen/Johnny it's easier doing a sketch of the photo and just making notes of the paint colours......say cerulean blue for the sky with a hint of mixed grey with alizarine ...sure you both know that though!
Sorry I should say if Ron doesn't mind!
Vb
I often sketch and make colour notes. Also photograph the subject. I have never painted insitu...too much mess setting up and the weather may turn:O( Thanks for your interest.
Footnote: I hope my risque comments are not too offensive!
Johnny..as far as I'm concerned,it's all a bit of fun..there's enough misery in the world.
Lovely shot Ron!
Johnny; I agree with Maureen, personally I enjoy your "punsterring'!
Storm in a (china) tea cup! Far worse things happening in the world.
Thankyou Maureen & Ellen
