Nice "COOL" photo Ron. I know where those gateposts are. It would be cold sitting on that wall. A leaden sky, what time of day was this?.

Snow normally looks nice on a photo but this scene shows it is horrible and slushy. Who wants to drive or even walk in these conditions?

walked along there going to the Running Horses a few times.

Ron, just a few days ago I visited Aspull the village of my youth, it was better weather than this thankfully. I take it this picture was taken from your driveway and its made me think back as to what you would have seen some years ago. Directly opposite was where the old CO-OP shop stood the school now occupies the site. To the right roughly where the white van is was where Atherton's shop was and to the right again was Jimmy leigh's butchers shop. Where the photo was taken from stood the old cop shop (police station) where I was invited to go for a dressing down because I had a catapult a home made one, it was confiscated by Bobby Chalmers and Sgt Hughes, I was seven years old at the time. The road where the cars are parked was the resting place for the Little Flyer, L U T bus #7 Westhoughton via Hindley. Back home in North Yorkshire now but we enjoyed our visit. TA! Ron.
