The times I've waited here for a date and in the Vic when she was late!
And if seeing that taxi at the time, I would have said Times Square, lad!!

Always striking night pictures from Andrew and this is no exception.

A good study, the background almost monochrome and then The Big Yellow Taxi and bright blue lights attracting your attention.

PS..remember the song Big Yellow Taxi ?

Good one.

Good Photograph Andrew, the refurbishment of the Victoria is very welcome .It was a blot on Wigan, and often the first building seen by visitors to the town.
An interesting fact it was 2 separate pubs, The Victoria Hotel and The Victoria Vaults, run completely independently with different licensees . The enterance to The Vaults was the door on the side.

The best yet, and no tricks.

Very cheerful and the yellow cab and blue lights with a touch of red are very complimentary colours. Very lucky to get that combination in seconds!

Lets hope they keep the dole and benefit cheats out this time, they used to congregate in there. They would often be drunk and spoil it for decent people who want a quite drink. The Victoria is sutch a lovely pub.

Makes me feel homesick for Wigan.
The last time I exited this station I was on my journey to see my lovely mum in your excellent hospice, Wigan has a lot to be proud of.

Excellent shot Andrew, it looks better at night than it does in the daytime, especially at this time of year.
