Two photos in one, in other words superimposed. But I like it!

Up and about early Oy, the reward was worth it.
Was this about two weeks ago, I remember looking down, me in brilliant sunshine and seeing the town covered in mist.

Unusual photo, I like it. You were quick to see the light through the clouds reflected on the water.

Comment by: Aubrey on 25th February 2016 at 08:31

Sorry Dave, not for me.

Comment by: kath on 25th February 2016 at 08:52

Dave your much better taking shots of birds than fog!
Not for me.

Strangely haunting scene.....! Don't think I would like to be out and about if it was really early! (By myself anyway!)

Comment by: Johnny on 25th February 2016 at 10:17

Very atmospheric...could be the opening scene of a Wes Craven film!
Good photo, anyway, Dave(Oy).

A setting for a spooky film!

Comment by: A.W. on 25th February 2016 at 11:14

Certainly one of the most unusual for a time, it does have a great deal of appeal from the artistic point of view.

Comment by: Johnny on 25th February 2016 at 12:12

You're right A.W.
This would make a good abstract painting...Paynes Grey and a touch of ultramarine for the sky!

Comment by: david on 25th February 2016 at 12:23

I agree.

Comment by: vb on 25th February 2016 at 14:44

If I was to paint that scene in my usual water colours - I would have to use a little bit of artistic licence.
There would have to be a tree to the right side with spreading branches. Just enough to add some interest - but not too much to obliterate the unusual and ghostly light! Thats my opinion A.W. and Johnny!

Comment by: Dave (Oy) on 25th February 2016 at 16:54

Thanks for the comments all. I thought this one might polarise opinion a bit - it's a good thing :)

Comment by: Robin Leigh on 25th February 2016 at 17:52

Spectacular. I can almost feel the fog prickle my nose.

Comment by: Johnny on 25th February 2016 at 23:39

Go for it vb!
I said earlier that this would make a good abstract painting! Maybe I should have said..impressionist!
A bit like Monet!
Which reminds me...I must research and see if Constable or Turner ever came to Wigan!

Comment by: Vb on 26th February 2016 at 08:24

Agree Johnny! The only Constable to come to Wigan though was the uniformed kind! I did paint "Hazy Wigan"by Mick Byrne quite pleased with it. It's in Jan P a d. The Art Club liked it too!
