The Tin Bath
Photo: John Morris (Nikon D700)
Brilliant John, a double header on it's way to Crow Nest Junction after passing Hindley Station.
Beautiful. There goes my soul.
A touch of class! Vivid colour and billowing steam!
Beautiful! Graet pic John.
Brings back tons of memories!
As a lad, I visited relatives at New Lane, Burscough (Southport line). Sat on the station for hours as these giants passed by!
Oh, that's lovely....you can almost hear it! I like the dappled sunlight on the ground and the carriages. It takes me back to going to Southport on a sunny day as a child.
Brings back memories of a time long since past.
Beautiful photo, thanks John.
A memorable photograph - thanks.
Double header class!
The Riley black 5 and the beautiful Galetea, what a great combination
Nicely done - I was nearby too - pic coming soon :)
super shot John, will be in touch.
Thanks for all the comments everyone.
The service was given the name Tin Bath in honour of one of the the sequences in Last of the Summer Wine where one of the characters hurtled down a hill in a tin bath.
