Photo-a-Day (Friday, 6th November, 2015)
Sunset
There must be a million golf balls in that lake, I wouldn't call it a pond David. Nice shot.
'pond'? - as kids we used to call it 'Hindley Ressy' - some good carp in there - then golf club banned all fishing
What a nice photo.
What a lovely shot..I especially like the colours of the background, which match the reflections on the water..and the leaves on the trees.
It looks like a mountain range is on the right
If you had put where did I take this photo no one would have got it, as the clouds in the back ground look like mountings to me
A pleasant place to stroll round on a summer evening. The band I was in used to rehearse at the golf club on Wednesday nights. We performed for the club regularly, including a couple of New Years Eves. It was all a long time ago.
Forget the golf balls and carp, this is a brilliant photo, David you are to be commended, absolutely wonderful!
An absolutely cracking shot David.
Syd's a fool. Why forget golf balls and fishing etc. We are just commenting about the photo, I said nice shot as well. If we all just said good shot, nice photo etc without a comment, now that would be boring like Syd.
A wonderful combination of colours, very nice David.
Garry; It takes a fool to know one.
Mick and Dougie; Spotted the `mountains` right away. Have played this golf course - first time was after 5pm in the early sixties for 2/- (10p in new money from Feb.1971 nearly 45 years ago!)
Excellent composition, David.
The mountains are "CLOUDS" for gods sake. Can you believe some folk.
Now you`ve proved yourself a fool, Garry.
Great composition David, glad you could get the ducks in formation :)
Such a beautiful photograph. Nature can be photographed but never replicated. Thank you David
Nice photo David. It is many years since I been there. Why is it called a reservoir?Did it have industrial or domestic usage?
Pw it's just a nickname by kids. Always known as ressy! It's a Lake.
