Nice photo Mick but not quite straight. Obviously taken on a very nice day.

Comment by: Mick on 15th October 2015 at 09:26

A lot of my photos are not straight Aubrey, its because my right leg is a bit shorter than the left.

Seems your moaning paid off, 2 pics in 2 days, still poor though.

Comment by: Aubrey on 15th October 2015 at 10:10

Mick, That's as good a reason as any.

Comment by: A.W. on 15th October 2015 at 10:59

Very nice Mick

Comment by: Roy on 15th October 2015 at 11:01

As far as i can see, there's nothing wrong with the photo, what's not straight about it? If you're talking about the fence and road etc, anybody who knows the area will know that the road rises on the right of the photo.

Nice one Mick...the comment at 09:59 has nothing to do with me!

Very pleasant photo, Mick.

Great reflections.

Comment by: Jonno on 15th October 2015 at 13:19

It must be straight, the water's not running away.

Comment by: Aubrey on 15th October 2015 at 14:24

Roy, I did say 'not quite straight', and meant that. I think the houses and lamp standards are leaning very slightly to the right. Still a nice photo all the same.

Comment by: Garry on 15th October 2015 at 14:52

Canal water does't move, only in the locks and overflows.

Comment by: Mick on 15th October 2015 at 16:15

This is on the old Bone ole site, Gathurst side of the pedestrian swing bridge.

The rusty looking fence is all the steel piles that the builders drove into the ground.

Comment by: Alex on 15th October 2015 at 19:02

Camera angle Aubrey..you don't seriously think the houses and lamp columns are leaning do you!

Comment by: Aubrey on 15th October 2015 at 20:00

Alex, No.

Comment by: Fred Mason on 15th October 2015 at 20:55

Wow, Mick.

I remember this place then, as a kid, we went into the 'bone ole' looking for maggots as bait for fishing further along the canal. There were tons of the blighters and all free too.

What a difference 55 years makes...!!!!

That's Mick - enjoyed this.

Comment by: Jonno on 16th October 2015 at 00:42

Garry, go back to sleep, that was a joke about the water not flowing out of the photograph because it wasn't straight.I KNOW WATER DOESN'T FLOW IN A CANAL.

Comment by: Garry on 16th October 2015 at 18:42

Hold your horses Jonno, I was only trying to help. I don't think many would laugh at your jokes anyway!
