Please me to does anyone know were this is in aspull I was born in aspull and used to live there I have never heard of crawfords woods.

Kath and Julie its behind St David's Crescent at Aspull if you walk through the woods from the Manor Grove end , it brings you out near Prospect Cottages at Haigh near St David's church.It was farmers fields originally.Good photo David.

Thanks David. I can't believe it, as I used to live in St David's Crecent, never knew it was called Crawford's Wood. I now know where you mean. We used to call it going down the line.

Thanks Neil I have had a look at the photo you mentioned. I moved to St David's Crescent in 1956 when I was 9 and the houses were first built. There wasn't anything in front of our house then and we used to play in the farmer Jack Marsdens fields. We were chased off many a time.thanks again Kath.
