I was thinking non of them office building are not that high, then Ive noticed it was taken with a drone helicopter camera.

This photo will be good to look back when all that spare land is developed.

oh dear. is that where I used to pick bluebells?

To the developers, Blundells Wood sounds much more actractive than 'the site of Pemberton Collieries'. Blundells wood is to the west of foundry lane and can be seen in the distance, along with St. Matthews spire. Isn't the M6 link road due to come accross the spare land in the picture?

It would be much nicer if all the spare land was not developed, I think there is a rather sad conception nowadays that any empty space has to have something built on it.

''It is illegal to fly drones within 150 metres of any congested area, or within 50 metres of buildings not owned by their operator''

We need to house our Eastern European, North African, Central African and Syrian new residents!
Just think of the diverse food shops that will open in Wigan town centre and the rubbish! :-(
Now what's Urdu or Arabic for meat and prater pie? lol

They will come out with any daft law to stop someone from flying something and filming from the air. Yet the government, private companies and other secret agencies can and are using these drone devices (some as small as an insect) to spy and surveil on the public from the air at anytime and anywhere they like (part of the ever increasing big brother state we're living in now). So why one law for us and not for them?. The people who bring in these drone laws are hypocrites.

Al you are right in what you say, Im sure some government secret agencies have set up little cameras in my back garden disguised as flowers.

Comment by: Al on 29th May 2015 at 08:14

Flowers indeed. Shouldve expected the typical mickey take and snide remarks as usual on things which people have no clue about.

Calm down Al, your going to have a coronary.
