Photo-a-Day (Wednesday, 18th March, 2015)
Kensington House
There must be a story behind these windows
David brilliant picture clarity of stain glass windows.
What beautiful stainglass Windows.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
Well done David, a good clear photo of very artistic stained glass windows. Certainly worth looking at.
As Mick says there must be a story behind the image of the Dutch milkmaid, the church on the left & the river bridge on the right, anyone know ?
This is just down from the hospital, I noticed the window last week as I drove past. It's the education centre for WWL NHS. If you look at it on street view (which I have just done) the view from the front of Kensington House is from 2015, but move slightly up the road its an old picture from when the work was started in 2013, almost like a virtual before and after on the same shot! Would love to know more about the window.
Maybe Van Dyke the vet used to live there
I went in that building to be measured for my nurses uniform in the
late seventies...and that is a lovely
shot David, you must have plenty of patience to wait for the right moment
to show the lovely colours.
Talk about stained glass....just back from break in Rome...magnifico!!
Done a few sketches as well Maureen!!
You lucky thing Giovanni..how nice, are you going to paint them.
Haven't seen this house for 40 years but instantly recognized it!
