St Wilfrid’s Church, Standish

St Wilfrid’s Church, Standish
From Bradley Lane end. Note the new coping stones atop a large section of the recently rebuilt churchyard wall, leading up to the Peace Gate. The Lychgate pub lies beyond.

Looks good Rev. You seem to have a thing for St Wilf's

The wall blends in nicely.. well done! I have ancestors buried here - I've tried to do a random search for their graves but without success. Is there a map with plot locations?

Ken - I'm just off there to celebrate at the midweek Communion.
I took this pic because not many seem to have been taken from this angle - and to record that the rebuilding of the wall had just been completed.

It is a good angle Rev, the best to show the whole church

Carol, call in at the Church Hall office next door to the church, between 10 and 12 Mon - Fri, see Mrs Dickinson and she will tell you who to see and how to go about finding your ancestors plots. Good angle Rev as Mick says, i shall be inside this, my favorite church in 4 or 5 hours time, 2-00pm Friday, but not for my favourite service, a funeral.
