Kerb
Another great photo of old Wigan, Mick.
Just imagine all the steam trains that once rode along that piece of track. Between Southport and Manchester perhaps?
very unusual Mick - trust you to spot this - used to go train spotting down there as a kid - 'are we going down the Gap' we woudl say because thats what we used to call it - Happy Days
PS shame about 'The Vic' though!
well mick you are showing me things I haven't seen before , and I like the angles these pics are taken from .
This part of Wigan town centre is an absolute disgrace that could be developed.Nice buildings that are being left to rot. Thanks Mick for showing these photos
Well spotted Mick, I've not been down there much but certainly had never noticed the kerb.
this is the entrance to our per-way depot this its hell on earth when theres snow and ice all over it.
I suspect that some customers of the Vic may have seen this particular view before it was posted on Wigan Album. Nice one Mick.
That is a unique perspective and innovative, Well done!
Different and unusual shot Mick!
I hope you didnt park the bike on those double yellow lines otherwise Aubrey would be having a word!!
Those customers AW lying in the gutter after a skinful! LOL
Great old time shots, more please.
Giovanni,
Mick must have parked his bike there to put his camera on the pedal.
OW - planning permission is in, all being well this part of town should be looking a lot better this time next year.
Oh my God. This photo has just taken me back some 53 years when I was trainspotting 'down the nick' as we called it. Waiting for the train to appear through the tunnel on the Southport line. Wondering if it is a jub, pat, scot but usually it was a tank engine. what brilliant brilliant days when I was 12 and the world was still only for us kids
