For the information of ex-pats, Wilko is where the former Pendleburys was, that part of Standishgate is traffic free, apart from a few delivery vehicles having access.
Well done Jane for a festive season shot.

Spent many a happy Xmas eve in Pendleburys shopping for prezzies in the late 60's. Very posh store!

Just remembered buying my first LBD at Pendlebury's. It must have been in 1960, just after I got my SRN and was feeling (relatively) rich because I was no longer a Student Nurse!! I wore the dress to many celebrations over a few years. It felt sooo grown up and sophisticated.(what was I thinking???)
