Photo-a-Day (Sunday, 21st December, 2014)
St Catharine's
Is there something on fire.
Beautifully evocative of past times.
Foggy or not, that spire is now as straight as a string. Nice one.
exposure problem, not see that for ages.
Good idea for a photo David, looks great
That is beautiful David, nothing else to add....
except to wish everybody who's names I come across every day here on Photo-a-day A very Happy Christmas & a Peaceful New Year.
love this!
Really unusual and very atmospheric. Used to watch the sunset behind the spire from my grandad's house in Holt Street. Happy days.Folowing Helen's lead, a very merry and trouble free Christmas to all.
Good shot David
Just a little short on detail and contrast but still nice.
Very atmospheric! Reminds me of foggy days in my childhood, when the fog was dense and icy and seemed to deaden all sound; you could almost "hear" the silence and could hardly see your hand in front of your face, and the lit-up window of the corner shop was a welcome beacon. Thanks to Helen and Neil for good wishes, to which I add my own.
A blank screen. That happens to my glasses when I go in the kitchen when the wife boiling spuds.
The church is really in Birkett Bank and not Scholes.
Bellissimo David!
A wonderful shot. Very atmospheric and in keeping with the time of year.
Here's wishing you all a Merry Xmas and salute!
Nice shot david
Very atmospheric
I love it,as Irene says it evokes many memories..nice ones.
Great alternative, for a special shot.
That would have been a very familiar sight for me as a child in winter - living at the bottom of the brew in Belvoir St.
