Walled Gardens
Where's the wall ?
Lovely colours Ron. I kept meaning to go to have a look in the Walled Gardens during autumn but never got chance. Thanks for sending this in.
Thanks Ron, I loved the 'Walled Garden, I always wanted a walled garden of my own :-)
One of the walled gardens is now growing fruit and veg, last year I even saw some grapes growing.

That's a very pretty picture Ron..lovely colours.
Mick The top garden is only open on a Thursday, and when available produce is on sale to the public. Volunteers do the work of making the sort of garden that was there originally.
As Alan says Where's the wall?
All I can see is wrought iron fencing no brickwork at all!
Allan ,Giovanni, put your clogs on and go for a walk around there.
Never mind the veiled remarks Ron, its not often i comment, but that is a really nice shot
Lovely picture Ron it always cheers me up when pictures of haigh hall are shown.
Nice photo. Been in the Plantations this morning. Lovely even in the rain but the litter....oh dear!
One of my favourite places; it's so special there.
I miss the splendour of the plantation and Haigh Hall. I last visited about 25 years ago , just before I moved away.
A walled garden means an enclosed garden.
Lovely picture.....lovely colours.
Some of the uprights on that wall are made from 15" gauge railway lines.
A lovely picture Ron.
No clogs for me Ron D.
A pair of TIMBERLAND BOOTS & A JACK WOLFSKIN WAXED COAT for my winter walks!
Remember walking down here but it was raining hard so we sheltered under the trees, then we walked on when it stopped. We had a good laugh. Can't remember when it was.
