OMG ! the Fox was my local in the 1960's and early '70's. What on earth is that doing there ?

Comment by: Garry on 3rd October 2014 at 08:49

The Fox has always been at Roby Mill, Alan.

Love it! up the road from me someone has a lifesize boxing Gorilla on their wall.
I bet many people sit on this one's hand and have their photo taken

If you sit on his hand to have your photo taken, you can then go in the pub and make a donation to Wigan and Leigh Hospice for the privilege!
No Garry, the outside wall has been deliberately decorated like that!!
BTW, the pub is really nice inside, quite 'quirky', like the other Fifteens pubs!

There is one of these gorillas for sale at Barton Grange garden centre. I'd really like one for my garden. They are expensive!

Comment by: Garry on 7th October 2014 at 21:10

Why Carol, they'll scare all the birds.

Comment by: Dave on 14th November 2014 at 13:48

I believe someone named it Malcolm D'Gorilla after someone in the village !
