St. Thomas The Martyr Church
Once again, my thanks. This is one more to show my church "family" here.
Some of these church's are so quiet like the pubs and you cant blame that on the smoking ban.
Couldn't they build beautiful stone structures back in those days....wait for someone to tell me they still can !
Pass this church on a regular basis but have never been inside. Thanks Neil. Went past yesterday on the way to The Star at Roby Mill for some lunch. Can highly reccomendthis pub.
Thank you for this because I have never been inside but my ancestors have done so.Lovely church!
Mick, the white ribbons at the end of the aisle in the nave are dressing for a wedding. About an hour later, the church was 'busy'.
Ellen, on the extreme right of this photo you can see a picture on the wall. You can see a picture of this picture at:-

My son was christened here. We moved shortly after. Another local gem well photographed.
Neil I know they do still get busy on wedding and funeral days, its the rest of the time that they are very quiet.
On my travels Im always visiting churches and they are always mostly quiet.
I was in a church in Laugharne in south Wales a couple of weeks ago where Dylan Thomas is buried and I was the only one in there.
Stunning clarity colours and details ,just a wonderful photo .Thanks Neil
Mick, you're quite right, attendances are generally falling in the 'traditional churches.'
I bet the neighbours next to churches don't complain of noise , or do they ?.
Thanks Neil, will do.
Lovely photo again Neil.
