It is really sad to see all of these pubs closing down. This looks as if it would have been a good one.
....Mick, your "Green Door" post has had me humming all week! Can't get it out of my head, waking or sleeping!

Don't quite know where this photo was taken Alan, but it sure aint Hindley Green. The Geography is all wrong.The left hand side of the door does not have a main road running down the side of it.It has a butty shop and the Little Chippy.
used to go there on a sunday when they had a small car boot there .happy days

this is the swan and its not "bit the dust" its closed for a full refurb and a restaraunt conversion upstairs. it will reopen under new management in 3 weeks
Why has it got "for sale" sign or two on show.
We all have Senior Moments these days, Colin! Easy mistake to make.
That`s a nice looking pub....shame its closed down.
