Is this Wigan?

No not Wigan, but Lancashire.

From 1894 to 1974, Parbold and Dalton was part of Wigan under Rural District. Now West Lancashire. The Church address is, Parbold Hill, Douglas-in-Parbold, Lancashire. WN8 7TG.

Wigan IS in Lancashire, always was and always will be. As Colin states,the church is in WN8.

Well said Julie. The problem with some people on here like this individual truwigana, want a reaction. They are the Vandals of the forum, they never comment on any subject weather it's lack of education or maybe down right ignorant, who knows. This site is all about debates and discussions people who are genuinely interested in the days photos who have incidentally, gone out their way to take these marvelous shots. Truwigana...please respect peoples commentst, and who knows, you might learn something.

it's ok i get it here now, its all one special little group of narrow minded biggots, don't like any "outsiders" commenting on their own private little website, is fine for them to be critical but when someone gives a bit back they get all upset, i have NEVER once made negative comments on ANY photograph on here, UNLIKE some of you lot who are downright rude to some of the photo's people put on here for all to enjoy, enjoy your sad little pact, you lot are everything that is wrong with this town and indeed this country stuck in your prehistoric timewarp and Garry YOU provoke reaction on EVERY pic EVERY day, but don't like it when i play you at your own game, you really need to move forward in life
