Photo: Dave (Oy) (Nikon D800 with Nikon 300mm F/4 AF-S)
Only one word; Lovely!
Well done Dave, Kingfishers are very elusive, and difficult to photograph .
this is probably the start of Bird theme month. He looks like he leaned up against a white paling fence
only one word for this FANTASTIC
Nice! And to fend off the What's-it-got-to-do-with-Wigan? folks, for me it's a lot. Last time I saw one was on the rowing club basin bridge at Haigh. The kingfishers across the pond here are just three shades of grey. Thank you, Dave.
Nice shot. The bird looks short of tail feathers in proportion to its body?
Dave,that's absolutely beautiful..nothing more to add..just beautiful.
It's a cracker.
Another stunning bird photo!
Great photo.
Beautiful bird, you are so lucky to have seen one Dave.
As for the kingfisher being a bit short in the tail feathers, its a bird, it moults !
Cracking shot.
Well done, Dave.
I see the twitchers are all up nice a early.
Reason it might be short on tail feathers could be because it a juvenile thats not grow a tail yet.
There a video here of one of these elusive birds.

Thank you so much for this lovely photo, and all the others. They are of a very high standard & you should all be proud of them.
