I dislike cats, kill our lovely garden birds, mess up my garden,(always other people's garden) noisy at night, can't see the point in them. It's dirty paws
after burying its phew, is going to walk all over that house. Dirty animals.

Comment by: kath on 28th April 2014 at 07:08

Is that Marsh Green. We had a little window like that by the "side" door

Comment by: Mick on 28th April 2014 at 07:40

Mucky bird, mice killers and garden spoilers.

It will now walk all over the kitchen worktops with its mucky feet then sit on some cat lovers knee in front of the telly.

Comment by: peterp on 28th April 2014 at 07:42

Shows how easy it is to break into some one's house. If a cat can do it so can humans

Comment by: dirty harry on 28th April 2014 at 08:49

look a cat burgler.......i'll get mi coat.

Comment by: Maureen on 28th April 2014 at 10:22

True..cats are a nuisance for killing birds..but don't forget the shooting season when men will pay a couple of thousand to kill birds..but if course that's okay isn't it..and how much vermin would the residents have if the cats didn't keep it down..and that is a hall window by the looks of it not a kitchen one..good photo Paul.

Comment by: Cyril on 28th April 2014 at 13:39

Good action shot Paul.

You superstitious cat haters should copy and paste the web address below into your browser bar and have a read of the article, you should be glad that there are cats around, plus your rose beds are manured for free.

Micks absolutely right, digging up gardens killing vermin, then walking over kitchen tables and work-tops.
Maureen, you don't need dirty filthy cats to keep vermin at bay, RESIDENTS should stop throwing food out for birds, get a bird table. Stop putting wheely-bins out the night before the refuse-collector comes. You CAN get vermin and pest control from your local Do-it-yourself store. Who needs CATS...And
Maureen, men Don't shoot garden birds.

Comment by: maureen on 28th April 2014 at 15:45

Alan, think we'll agree to disagree..what happens if people don't do the right thing by not getting a bird table, not seeing to refuse bins, not doing the right things at all..do other residents who do the right thing do it for them..
Alan, birds are birds whichever ones they are..and all deserve to live.

Comment by: tricia on 28th April 2014 at 18:23

The more I see of people the more I love my cats/dogs.
If that offends you cat haters so be it!
The people I despise are the ones who do not train their animals properly ...and do not clean up behind their dogs....oh yes. and the moaning whingers!!!
By the way my cats are NEVER out at night.

Comment by: Maureen on 28th April 2014 at 18:35

Tricia, good for you,I've never understood why people put their cats out at night neither..and my cats have always used a litter tray,I've asked my neighbours if my now little poorly cat has ever pooped in their garden..each time has been a definite no..he has never chased birds..we have a photo of him sat at the side of the bird bath and just not bothered about the bird..they're all Gods creatures,so why not live and let live.

Comment by: Mick on 28th April 2014 at 18:36

What I cant understand is why all cat lovers are all over weight.

Comment by: Bill G on 28th April 2014 at 18:51

Nice one, Moo-ey!

Comment by: Maureen on 28th April 2014 at 19:56

Ha ha mickey.wrong..thank god we're not all ugly..or cruel.
Tricia, don't fall for it..I told you he was nasty.

Comment by: Paul on 28th April 2014 at 20:48

Cheers Bill Thursday, looks like the picture has stirred up a bit of a discussion.

Comment by: Bob on 28th April 2014 at 21:19

Interesting topic.
This country is discriminating against dog owners. No fouling,no dogs on the street except under close control and dogs with asbo's.
No such problem for the cat owner.Free to let their animals run a muck un challenged.
Cats not supervised and not under close control in my opinion are nothing more than vermin themselves.
And as for the men with guns during shooting I would rather live the life of game bird living freely in a natural environment over any animal that ends up in the chiller in the supermarket, this is a simple question of ethics.
This kind of bigotry is typical of someone who knows they are in the wrong using tit for tat arguments to make themselves feel better.

Comment by: Garry on 28th April 2014 at 21:42

Dirty filthy things cats..as I thought; Maureen's a cat lover..shame. Tricia, I thought you had more sence. Cyril, you dont make sence.

Comment by: tricia on 28th April 2014 at 22:22

Mick
I am not overweight at all...shame on you. Where did that pearl of wisdom come from?
My cats don't need to catch birds...they get well fed...

Comment by: Paula on 28th April 2014 at 22:25

I love dogs ( and own one), and do not dislike cats. However most owners let their cats run amock as they wish.
My Dad currently is trying to find a way to keep 2 or 3 of his neighbour's cats from scrabbling over his car at night time causing scratches in the paint. They also scrabble up the back gate tearing the wood to shreds and poo in the garden (not their own of course) Any advise for deterrents appreciated by the way.

Comment by: Maureen on 28th April 2014 at 22:48

Paula..I agree some are a damn nuisance..we took a stray in because I got fed up of every time I looked through the kitchen window she was stalking the birds and thought that if she was indoors the birds would have more of a chance..they don't like water being squirted at them and of course. you an buy repellents from garden centres, but that means spending I know..I am not a cat lover, but an animal lover and when our own passes that will be the last one..and wish I could find someone to take the stray in..because we get no birds at all now,I thank you for a sensible comment.

Comment by: Maureen on 28th April 2014 at 23:05

Bob,I'm sorry if you mean me..I'm definitely not bigoted about anything..there's someone very nasty on this thread, follow Forum more and you'll see what I mean..he put my email on twice..the moderater had to take it off.he gets up my nose.

Comment by: Columbine on 29th April 2014 at 02:58

Just shows how ignorant some folk are. Cats can't be controlled like dogs can because cats are their own masters and they are definitely not dirty creatures. Some folk let dogs slobber over children's faces when they've just been snuffling around their backsides and other nasty bits. My cats have never attacked birds or any other creatures so don't tar them all with the same brush because every one is as different as human beings. Like Maureen I'm an animal lover and I took in another stray, the first of many but he's the only one I have now. Cats are still under a law of right of passage wherever they go which goes back a couple of hundred years and that's why cats were never licensed as they have freedom to roam because they can't do the same damage when roaming that dogs could. Cats very rarely attack, but dogs do with fatal results. And I'm not overweight either.

Comment by: Stuart Naylor on 29th April 2014 at 09:06

It is just nature and the way nature works, dogs woof, drool, chase and bite things and cats meow, purr and catch birds, it is a cat thing and it is wot cats doo

Comment by: Maureen on 29th April 2014 at 11:18

How nice to hear sensible comments.

Comment by: Garry on 29th April 2014 at 18:40

Yes Paula, your dad needs a lock-up-garage...cat owners should buy him one. Columbine don't make sence. Tricia, cats can be well feed, they still kill birds. Cat owners should buy repellents for their neighbours. Maureen should be the first to buy cat repellents for all her neighbours.

Comment by: Maureen on 29th April 2014 at 19:41

Comment by: Dave Halligan on 1st January 2016 at 15:44

Cats are vermin are they Bob ? You are vermin in my eyes, every day dogs crap outside my gate and their scumbag owners stand there and let them do it, I caught one idiot with a black Labrador when I returned hom on the m/bike, I asked him to clean it up but he muttered something as he walked back to his car, I shovelled it up and splattered it on his windscreen, he hasn't been back since !
