Photo-a-Day (Thursday, 3rd April, 2014)
'I've been told there's a mouse in there....'
The cat might belong to the brewery
Hickory, dickory dock
The mouse ran up the clock.
The clock struck six
The mouse ran down
Hickory dickory
Nice photo Rev. Six o clock, the hands are straight up and down. What time is it when the hands are straight across.??
(but it's said to be a very impoverished mouse!) I love this photo.
I did wonder what the caption meant... but I see it now, I faw't I daw a puddy cat....
How many people walk past this church every day and never notice how lovely it is?
Excellent
Bet there are quite a few mice in there. Brilliant photo Rev.
Good old Wigan council, see a lamp post and stick a sign on it, the objects which to my mind
spoil umpteen otherwise good photos, still this is a good un, thanks Rev.
It is a shame that the Church has to be kept locked to keep out thieves and vandals. In my younger days you could have a look round during the day. Sing of the times unfortunately.
Very nice picture Rev David...cheers!!!
lovely photo
I like the nice uniform sky, simply adds to it. Lovely pic.
I echo all the complimentary comments. I too walk past the church without noticing it's beauty when I come over the pond to visit. Rev Long you have a good eye for composition.
Thanks for the comments, folks. No great skill in composition, Derek - a passing couple remarked on the cat on the roof - and all I did was get it in the frame with the church behind. Serendipity - and the cat's natural curiosity.
Dam good shot, well done Rev
What's that cat got to do wi' Wigan, it could be from anywhere???
Just coddin, think the Parish Church is probably the highlight of the town centre although for some odd reason I never feel comfortable inside it?
