Photo-a-Day  (Sunday, 5th January, 2014)

Wigan from Prospect Hill

Wigan from Prospect Hill
Standish Wood Lane. Landmarks from the left: Hospital chimney, St Catherine's spire, Boyswell House, Pagefield Mill in front of Scholes flats, Town Hall chimney, Parish Church, Coops building (?), then, seemingly miles away - Trencherfield Mill - then I think the towers of St James Poolstock and St Paul's Goose Green, but I can't place the chimneys.

I've now concluded that the buildings to the right of Trencherfield Mill are the Eckersley Mill buildings - not the church towers.

Ken R and Mick; I right click on photo then click `Save Picture As`, click `Save` which puts photo into `Pictures`. Right click on photo, click on `Preview` which puts phhoto in `Windows Picture Gallery`. Can then enlarge photo.
I suspect Rev David must enlarge it too.
The old Rylands Mill chimney is between St. Catharine`s spire and Wigan Parish Church.
