Thank you Michael, i dont remember this, it looks to be a very popular lion with the 'well trodden' area around it. I have been looking back on PaD and just to show how active it has become i compared Oct 2006 with Oct 2013. In Oct 2006, there were 69 comments on 26 photos, less than 3 per photo. In Oct 2013 there were 509 comments on 31 photos more than 16 per photo.

, this is not one of the Lions from Lilford park * Liegh* i believe this is One of two that were on top of the old Wigan gas works.

I have read it came from Atherton Hall in 1906
