a Merry Christmas to all readers of WW, and of course to members who are abroad. So all the best to you Derek out there in Canada. I'll be having a pint with your Roy in St. Judes tomorrow. We are looking at arranging a trip to Perpignan next July, to watch the Warriors take on the Catalans.
The chap on the photo seems a real lively sort of character, always playing, always smiling.
I hope we all have a happy 2014.
Christmas Blessings on one and all.
No snow here in adelaide

Photo-a-Day, What's it all about?
Its the pictures, and there's no doubt.
But for me there's more;
something called 'rapport'
with those who moan,
and those who groan,
those who see
and those, who with glee
express their joy
of this and that
and with a rat-a-tat-tat
give their views
with ahhs and oohs ~~~~~~

Intrigued by the name Derek Platt in Canada.Could it be you have a brother Roy & perhaps at one time lived in Beech Hill? Former Wiganer.
Hi Dave Kelly, I do have a brother Roy and I lived in Beech Hill on Dawson Ave and Laburnum Grove. I'm sorry but I don't remember you. They say the memory goes first.
Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to all....lovely photo Brian...look forward to many more....
Cheers!!!
Probably nothing wrong with memory Derek...I'm talking about 60 odd years ago & I'm not sure where or how I knew you. St Johns (school or youth club), or Sacred Heart,Thornleigh in Bolton...ring any bells? We've lived in Canada since '66
Hi Dave, all the places you mentioned could have been applicable. I attended them all at one time or another. I came to Canada in 1980 and now live in Abbotsford BC.
