I was just there at the beginning of October, a nice place to visit. I always go there when I am in Wigan. This time I also went for a walk, which started at haigh hall, with my Sister and her walking buddies. Come on guys we need a pic of a pub or we'll never get a comment from Jim Latham.

They are quite clearly articulated trailers, one of the HGV tractor units is seen far left that hauls them. To drive these you would have to take a class one HGV driving test. If these HGV trucks and trailers were used as caravans, you would indeed have a very expensive holiday. Road Tax alone would set you back £1200 a year, MOT around £150 and insurance £ 1000s. Fuel 6-8 miles per gallon. They are indeed studio trailers and not caravans.

BBC living accommodation first one, second one wardrobe. Around the right side of the hall a couple with flood lighting.Round to the left more accommodation plus cook house and servery .They must have been filming something or other .My intention was to make inquires the day after as I was sure by the amount of stuff there, that they would be there a few days. But the day after .Not a sign. No idea what was being filmed.

Ron D got it wrong again, just like the top of Wigan. They are Heavy Goods Trailers...HGVs. Lovely place Haigh Hall.

I have been informed that Sir Elton John is appearing somewhere in Leigh. Maybe these are using Haigh as accommodation?

Could it be the special spot on Wigan's sporting spectacular for Sports Personality of The Year?
Rumour has it that Wigan will be featured this year.

Mobile homes is the correct terminology.

The blue unit looks like what we showbiz types call a honey wagon.

Be nice to know what was being filmed.
