Having looked at this pic in greater detail, I think that the hill behind is most likely to be Moel Famau, with the Jubilee Tower on the top.
The caption has become a bit disjointed in transmission - it should read 'In a dip in the Billinge-Ashurst ridge, a distant view of Snowdonia'. It's a view from our house in Standish, which we finally moved into earlier this month.

It's four isn't it Mick, I'm sure that they are Lancashire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and Gwynedd.

Impressive. Our house in Gidlow had an attic window with a view across to Billinge. In the 50's it was a clear day when you could see anything more than a grey line at the horizon.
