Two into one will go
Wonderful Ron.....amazing stonework...love the flowers on the top of her....canal craft.....never know what the correct name is so I will say craft...so I won't get a telling off.....cheers!!!
They're narrow boats, Lizzie.
I'm surprised she's travelling with her side fenders down. This isn't usually wise on English canals as the boats are a very tight fit singly in narrow locks, and when doubled up in broad ones. The fenders could cause the boat to jam if the lock sides are out of true, and this could lead to a sinking.
Quite right, they are narrow boats. I have lovely memories of this flight. I did the locking - easy to do if you know how! We did it on a summer Sunday and met some lovely people including an old man who had worked at the Maypole, we had a lovely chat as you can imagine.
Next time David I will have the courage of my convictions....and call them by their proper name...narrow boats....hope you are still enjoying your retirement....cheers!!!
She's travelling with her side fenders down,,, her husband would have done it so that she dosent scratch it.
Women drivers!
Nice shot that Ron, I don't think you will be getting anymore like that this year.
Women drivers....what Britboy... :) :)
Cheers!!!
