Somewhere in Winstanley. Sorry to mislead but expected everyone to think in the Wigan area.

Comment by: Garry on 31st August 2013 at 14:34

Of course it must be Wigan, all I'm asking where, now I know Winstanley...that was hard-work.

I snapped a similar photo a few days ago. Not as nice as yours though!

Please could somebody help me, I would like to know what happened to all the stock and things from the museum at the pier, I mean if its all tucked away rotting then why don't they sell it at an auction and put the money into something else like saving the buildings of wigan.
Surely this is a good idea then wiganers have the opportunity to own a bit of wigan history

Anne, what a lovely location, facing west in Winstanley. I used to love go and play in Winky Wood as a 10/11 yr old in the early sixties then walking back home across the railway crossing and back to Pemberton. Oh what lazy crazy days back then
