Belting photo....
Thanks for the photo Michael

Comment by: Roy on 27th August 2013 at 09:03

Never been done before David, in fact there are only a handfull of places that CAN do it. Wigan, Hull, Huddersfield, Leeds and i think that's it, i very much doubt that it will EVER be done again.

Roy how about, Bradford , Doncaster, Sheffield, London Broncos, all highly unlikely. It has put 'LITTLE WIGAN' on the Sporting map again

Comment by: Roy on 27th August 2013 at 10:17

You're correct Ron, highly unlikely as you say, but you can't count London Broncos, do London have a football team? neither can you count Manchester for Salford.

Comment by: Janice on 27th August 2013 at 11:29

Brill. My late partner would have been really thrilled.

Comment by: Mick on 27th August 2013 at 11:48

They should come up with a double pie that half steak and half of something else.

Comment by: RON HUNT on 27th August 2013 at 12:34

Mick probably should be HUMBLE for all the anti rugby/football brigade

Comment by: Steve on 27th August 2013 at 16:19

Excellent picture, well done to the mighty warriors.

Comment by: bill 7 on 27th August 2013 at 19:17

Absolutely Brilliant ,each player on both teams should be proud to be associated with such a record , come on Wigan metro a joint medal or something to commemorate it

Comment by: dave on 27th August 2013 at 19:23

Comment by: phil on 27th August 2013 at 20:00

Comment by: Ellen on 27th August 2013 at 21:09

Please excuse my woeful ignorance;
(I've been away for a looong time!)
but who, or what are the Warriors? Dare I guess the Rugby team?
Well done anyway,to both teams!

Comment by: Jean F (Wales) on 27th August 2013 at 21:49

Brilliant picture, well done lads.Had to laugh at your comment Phil.......have been away from Wigan(except for odd day visits) for 60 years and it took me a while to decipher your pie !Only one good meyt, unprater and that was VOSES...yummy

Comment by: Roy on 28th August 2013 at 00:08

Dave, there is no team called LONDON in the football league. Also there is no Rugby League team called Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham etc. Another one to add to the collection is Oldham.

Comment by: Wiginer through and through. on 28th August 2013 at 13:19

How about St Helens and St Helens Town? Sorry you saints, it will never be done.More sorry for St Helens Town

So is Leeds, Hull and Bradford BAZZA, we're talking about places that have a rugby league team and a football league team whether it's a city or a town.

Let's not forget Little Leigh won the Northern Rail Cup as well so thats a treble for the Borough.
