Network Rail's improvement scheme to lay 3 miles of new track and 18 miles of sleepers and ballast, it's estimated to take nine days from Sat 13 July to Sun 21 July, at a cost of £18 million. Delays from Warrington to Preston.

Although I'm female, I love industrial type photo's and landscapes.
Makes a change from the usual soppy shots that turn up from time to time!
