Ah the Crazy Golf......wonderful place to see being kept neat and tidy......thank you John....cheers!!!
They all should be awarded the MBE
well done!
Well done to all the volunteers. Good to see that someone cares. Really must go and have a game!
A huge thank you to all the volunteers. Yes, they should be acknowledged in some way. Good on them!!
Yes wonderful people volunteers, but remember most have retiered and are probably bored anyway.People like me who is an electrician by trade, can't find the time.
A great job is done by volunteers, congratulations to them, and gratitude for this and all volunteer projects.
.....Garry, your youth is showing! Never think that because one is retired, one is bored or inactive. Many volunteers are still working, but retirement does NOT mean the same thing as put aside, inactive or never, ever useless or only of use for the things none of "the others"can find time for!
Those guys (Friends of Haigh Country Park) have done a lot of work in their free time restoring the crazy golf and fending off the potential sale of Haigh Hall. Great work guys.
Had a game with my grandaughter a couple of week back, it was brilliant and the payment was a voluntary contribution, my hubby even got a cuppa, went passed it today and they have now put new greens on the holes looking great, thankyou well done to all the volunteers.
I apologise for my previous remarks! The mood must have caught me at a sensitive 'senior moment'! I didn't mean it to be so abrasive!
I think you were referring to me Ellen, I was just saying how wonderful volunteers are in whatever they do. I would love to help out in projects I like, but haven't got the time, maybe one day I will. Sorry to all about the "boring word" used in my previous comment.
Well done to all the good workers.Hope their hard work is recognised.
Garry, as I said before,I'm sorry for the really abrasive tone of my first remark, it wasn't my style, really. I just had an incident with one of my grandchildren, which made me a little touchy, I should not have reacted so badly. I do understand the time limits imposed by a career in public service!
Mavis it was a pleasure to make a cuppa for your Husband, though it is not something that we normaly do,but it eas a rather sunny day and he looked like he needed a brew .
Comment by Garry on the 19th june ,i am one of the volentiers in the photo and contrary to you views made i do work FULL TIME ,but yet still find the TIME to do Volentry Work . It,s a matter of Prioritising your time and Giving Something "Back to the Future"if you Pardon the Punn !.
Hiya John, remember me? Long time no see. Are still at Mables?
