The Oddfellows are a not for profit organisation with Branches across the UK that provide social activities, care and support to our members.
This is the Earl of Surrey branch, see:-

My dad was a member of the Oddfellows I remember going to a Canrival/Sports Day organised by the club and won a race winning a cricket bat<g> God that must have been 60 years ago and I can remember it like it was yesterday. The event was on a field behind the old Brewery.

I remember that building from when I worked in Standish many years ago and saw it again recently when visiting Standish with a friend. Tom, please don't forget about the full version of your Walking-Day article in Past Forward. I am itching to read it!

Ron i remember the after carnival event on the field off school lane ,sure it was held on that field more than once ,it would not be allowed on there today even if there was no houses on due to H&S about the top and bottom lodges i bet.

My great grandfather is Ben Park JP and his name is on one of the stones fixed in the building. Don't know much more about things. Would love to know more about him. I lost my dad his great grandson in January 2008. Any body that can give me information I would love to hear from you. Val.
