Something colourful
Photo: John Burns (Sony Alpha A55 ,Sigam 70-300mm lens)
A really nice picture, a pleasant change from the recent snow scenes! ....However, I have to confess,I'm not familiar with the Siskin. We saw a Cardinal in our back yard today!
Does anyone have a picture of an adult Siskin? do it's colours change at all?
Lovely pic. Question- is a Siskin a yellow hammer.
Spot on John,is that taken through your window ? used to have the Sigma lens 70-300mm changed to a Tamron with the VC stabilisation.I expect the Sony as VR or VC equivalent ?.Nice to see the bird pics back.
Lovely bird, well done.
How lovely John, may I have a copy for my Album please.....cheers!!

Thank you Atlas for the explanation. I,m not an ornithologist or an ologist of any kind, just remember yellow hammers from when I was a kid.
Sometimes Mick I actually like your sense of humour.
Lovely shot John, well done...more birds please.
There have been three horses and two birds on P-a-D this month.
Ron Dawber had a wooden bird on yesterday.
Nice indeed, it just shows how good the Sigma lens can be.
Ernest ... is that a problem ?
We see a fish (Pyke) all to regularly...;o)
