England's green and pleasant land
Photo: David Thomas (Nikon D90)
Oh Dave this is so lovely.....will go in my Album no problem........cheers!!!!
I can see our house.
That's a really nice composition David. It makes you want to be out and about in this lovely countryside only a stone's throw away from Wigan.
We Wiganers have a lot to be proud of haven't we?!
Beautiful!....and taken when?
England's green & pleasant land indeed, long may it remain so. A very peaceful English scene. I have a photo of myself aged about 10 with my sister & Dad 'on Winter Hill' Never knew where it was till now.
Margaret even though I am 13000 miles away I am still very proud of my homeland. :)
Cheers!!!
Nice shot David. Lizzie, have you moved to Gisborne?
No Roy I moved to Adelaide.....far...far.....away. :-)
Good for you Lizzie. Have a lovely Easter!
I know you are in Adelaide Lizzie, but Adelaide isn,t 13,000 miles away it,s only 10,000.Gisborne is the first city in the world to see the sunrise and that,s only 12,400 miles from Standish, lol.
Ellen this picture was taken summer 2011, I thought it would make a nice change from winter shots and get us ready for hopefully for a good summer.Lizzie any pic; of mine you are welcome to use for your album.
Thanks, Dave. I thought it was just too green to be a Spring pic.-even though your Spring is really accelerated, to an ex-pat. in still- snowy Ontario! You're right, it was a real "shot in the arm" to see "England's green and pleasant land" in it's Summer glory!
My kind of picture especially now with our present cold.cold weather,Wonder how many people have booked a caravan break for this weekend .....BRR!Don`t forget your thermals and hot water bottles.
Glorious!!!
