G'day again Andrew......will pinch this one too as it looks nice in its night time attire.....we have similar here and you can get into the city on an express in about 15min. Cheers!!!

Nearly everyone has gone to sleep, no hustle and bustle. Good shot.

This is where the Bluecoat Infant`s and Junior schools where. I was four years old when I started in 1932. See last photo #18922 in Album. Places, Hallgate. The Infant`s school is on the extreme left.
What time of day, Andrew?

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 12th January 2013 at 03:51

Re my earlier comment; see Album, Schools, Hallgate. Photo #4819 shows the old Bluecoat school, the oldest building in Wigan.

When was this taken Andrew, day and time?

Comment by: Harry C. on 12th January 2013 at 08:31

Anyone with any sense will look both ways!

Comment by: Helen on 12th January 2013 at 09:00

Quite right Harry C. but its the others you have to cater for !!

Good simple, clear pic.

Comment by: Mick on 12th January 2013 at 09:10

It looks very clean maybe its been taken after a windy day
I took a similar low down photo of the cobbled car park at the bottom of upper Dicconson street last week.

I think I will send it in to Wiganworlds PaD.

Comment by: Andrew Fishburn on 12th January 2013 at 10:55

David F, it was taken Fri 4th Jan about 10pm.

Lizzie - no need to ask, you are very welcome to use any pic of mine!

Wot, no 'doctored' 'natural' or 'photoshop' comments? What's going on? But it has been doctored/photoshopped! Can you spot where?

Comment by: Janice on 12th January 2013 at 11:21

Yet another great shot Andrew. I like the perspective and the way you have used the crossing as foreground interest. Keep them coming.

Comment by: Mick on 12th January 2013 at 11:45

Andrew can you pick up litter and chewing gum with your photoshop.

Comment by: tony on 12th January 2013 at 12:59

at a guess the overhead lights could have gave off a glare so you may have doctored the lights and the sky in adobe.

Comment by: Andrew Fisburn on 12th January 2013 at 17:05

Almost right, Tony!

Icouldn't get the top pf the lights in the shot, so took another frame with the top of the lights in and put them in the finished shot. Other than that, it's not doctored!

Comment by: Lizzie down under on 12th January 2013 at 18:22

Thankyou Andrew.....cheers!!!

Comment by: Ellen on 12th January 2013 at 20:45

Nicely executed, Andrew. An interesting shot, but forgive me saying, a little 'pedestrian' when compared to your last posting. (pun intended)!

Comment by: Janice on 12th January 2013 at 22:52

Actually Mick he could remove litter and chewing gum !!!

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 12th January 2013 at 23:04

Has anyne spotted a mistake in my comment at 03:51?

Comment by: Ken R on 13th January 2013 at 03:23

Ernest. I thought that you didn't make mistakes because you always check first????

Comment by: tony on 13th January 2013 at 11:59

yes ernest you have missed the o out of anyone.

Comment by: Ellen on 14th January 2013 at 00:23

Ernest, was it the wrong number?(18922)

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 14th January 2013 at 13:54

Ellen, the mistake in my comment at 03:51 was that photo #4819 is in Album, Schools, Bluecoat School (not Hallgate).

Comment by: Gerald Pilkington Canada on 14th January 2013 at 23:02

Should have a arrow pointing left, just to be on the safe side LOL

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 15th January 2013 at 04:40

Gerald Pilkington Canada, you should have an `n` after the `a` !!
It`s `an arrow`.
Whereabouts do you live in Canada, Gerald?

Comment by: Eddie on 22nd January 2013 at 18:52

A 'cold' picture. Very characterless place that bus station. Good shot all the same.
