Photo-a-Day (Saturday, 29th December, 2012)
Haigh
Lovely, we're ready for winter
With the slopes of Ashurst Beacon in the distance
Magnificent Janice!!!!!
Don't have to ask for this one it is already gracing my album collection!!
Well done, you do it very well. xx
How beautifully GREEN the grass is! ......especially at thistime of the year! It reminds me of how my Canadian-born husband was surprised at how green England is.
Well taken Janice. That will be looking towards Ashhurst Beacon.
What time of day?
Not a golfer or Mick`s bike in sight!! Do you ever walk with the bike up Red Rock, Mick?
Not long to go before the Crazy Golf Course opens!!
And not a 'dark satanic mill' in sight. Beautiful countryside & a nice clear photo.
That's lovely Janice..it looks like an oil painting..a very nice composed shot..I love the colours, very distinctive but not harsh, the nicest one I've seen for a while.
Very nice Janice, it's good to see something so refreshingly green again.
Nice shot, shows how to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The peace and quiet of the park
Ernest I have managed to peddle up as far as the car park on the side of Red Rock but it nearly killed me.
Ernest!!!!
You said that word again.....crazy golf!!
Cheers!!!
Lovely photogragh Janice, makes me want get out for a good walk,if only this confounded rain would cease . May decide to
don my waterproofs and ignore the weather .
Thanks for the inspiration ,to get out of the chair !.
Thanks folks, this is as it came out of the camera - nothing done to it other than conversion from RAW. Ernest, it wastaken just before Christmas at about 2.30 3.00pm Quite a cold day but very refreshing for walking. Pleased you have been inspired Tom.
Mick that would be Harrock Hill. The beacon is way round to the left.
Fred, yes the beacon is on the left behind the trees but its still Ashurst Beacon.
Harrock Hill is hidden behind Parbold Hill which is on the right of the photo.
The square block could be Pilkingtons Glass Laboratories at Lathom.
