Nice one Ron. These cottages always look a perfect picture, whenever they are shown, have done for many years.

Lovely photo Ron, I wonder who lives there.

Just further from this house I think Ive seen a sign saying organic meat for sale.

Great pic Ron!! Reminds me of chocolate and cream!!! The white quoins set the houses off. Nice pink hydrageas!!! Cheers

What a wonderful photo. One of my favorite walks along Coperas Lane when I visit my brother on Haigh Road in Aspull

Lovely Photo Ron. These cottages are known as Gothic Cottages and are on School Lane in Haigh.

Comment by: David Barker on 24th September 2012 at 13:22

Spot on Ron, the gardens at these cottages are always kept immaculate a credit to the owners.

Comment by: David on 24th September 2012 at 13:46

Good shot - well composed.

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 24th September 2012 at 15:37

You are right David Barker they are on School Lane and not Copperas Lane.
Google Earth proves it. Just says beautiful cottages within the bounds of Haigh Hall.
There`s also a Country House which looks very similar to these cottages nearby

what a great photo ron , well done.

Comment by: Mick on 24th September 2012 at 18:21

There only just on school lane.

Comment by: Phil Taylor on 24th September 2012 at 19:58

Ha Ha Mick, "only just on School Lane"!
They're more on School Lane than the famous number 10 is on Downing Street!
290ft from the junction with Copperas Lane if you want to be pedantic.

Beautiful picture.Congratulations to all who take pride in caring for their property.
I think this is the sort of picture
that will make a lot of people homesick.

Phil Taylor, I`ve just realised I should have put your name in my earlier comment! Have you looked at Google Earth and used the little man? What do you know about the Country House?

Comment by: pberry on 24th September 2012 at 22:42

I remember a wigan rugby player living there but it may have been in the big house with the stables lower down.

Mark Conroy, that would be Adrian Lam who appeared on Through The Keyhole on telly.
