Never come across this word before, Ron, so used Google.
Gongoozler from Wikipedia :-
"A gongoozler is a person who enjoys watching activity on the canals in the United Kingdom. The term is also often used in a more general way to describe those who have an interest in canals and the canal life, but do not actively participate"
I`m one of those mentioned in the last sentence !!
Also, I`ve never been in this area, so don`t know which lock this is - I`ll bet that Mick does and let him ask the you-know-what question !!
Very nice photo Ron. I walked the flight a few weeks back and really enjoyed it - my first visit!

It looks a good view from there and it would probably bed a tad to cold up there in the coming months .
When we worked this flight a few years ago, it was an unforgettable experience. it was a summer Sunday afternoon & there were several friendly people there willing to pass the time of day. The scenery is great.
It is nice up there and i have some photos too that i took when the canal was frozen over
