Sailing
Photo: Janice Freeman (Nikon D3100 F10 1/200 )
How nice, reminds me of my sailing holidays,"lo these many years ago"!!
Nice balance of sky, land and water, Janice. Did you use a tripod?
Photo-a-Day on 27th October 2008 shows yachts on Scotsmans`s Flash and I queried the colours and numbers on the sails.
I`ve never seen either Flash and wonder how close they are together?
To listen to the tune `Sailing By` refer:-

I agree - good example of 'layered' composition.
As the crow flies Ernie 5 miles !, about 8 round the streets, Pennington Flash is well worth a visit, the bird hides are really good and apart from the lake you can spend a good couple of hours just walking round there.
It was a hand held shot Ernest. One of many taken on the day. Flashes are well worth a visit - some lovely walks as Aitch says, nice benches where you can sit and relax and the all important ice cream van!
Nice photo Janice.
Ernest please refer to my final posting on yesterdays P-a-D.
aitch, you omitted to say that the flight path of the proverbial crow would more or less match the line of the Leigh Branch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal between Scostmans and Pennington Flashes. A very pleasant walk these days.
Thanks aitch, Janice and Rev David. I do all my walking on Chorley Golf Course !!
Have you listened to `Sailing By` Janice?
Roy, it`s obvious in capital letters.
Who would think this was in WMBC? The Industrial North West has come a long way.
Ernest i read it in lower case, brought it to your attention in upper case thats why its obvious.
