On the far left just above the trees there appears to be a statue of a man on a plinth, if it is a statue I can't imagine whereabouts that would be, anyone know, or is it an illusion?

It is not a bird... its Ernest .... hangliding !

It`s not me Tricia. Hangliding is too dangerous. Hangliders used to ascend from the top of Winter Hill until one of them, from Wigan, was killed.
There`s no object in the sky on my P-a-D.

I've just shown my daughter's American boyfriend this photo and his first comment was ' it's very green"! I'm always amazed that people who've never been to Wigan think that it's supposed to be very grey and drab! Travel definitely does broaden the mind.
