Photo-a-Day (Saturday, 12th May, 2012)
St Mary's, Wigan
By hook or by crook... I'll be the first on this page!
An interesting pic.. looks like a nice church
Never been in, beautiful church.
Well done Tom, nice perspective again.
St.Mary must be the most common name for a church. I`ve met many on my travels - even in Wales in Monmouth and Abergavenny !
Manchester Cathedral`s official mame is "The Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St.Mary, St.Denys and St. George in Manchester."
Really nice picture of a wonderful church. It's funny in my day you never visited other churches (what a missed oportunity). I attended St Johns RC across the way, St Mary's were our hated enemy.
I've not got a religious bone in my body, yet the missus and I like visiting churches whenever we go anywhere.
Great photo.
Very nice indeed, been past the church hundreds of times never seen the inside.
I got married there in 1964,beautiful memories, still very happily married as i was 48 yrs agoo
